I’ve always had a passion for making, building my first metal foundry and forge in the garage during my senior year of high school. To my surprise, and my mothers, I managed to not set the house on fire.
An Atypical introduction to art
However, a sour experience with a particularly nasty art teacher broke my spirit to pursue art as a career, so at that time it was nothing but a way to kill time in my otherwise uneventful life.
By the time I arrived at college in 2016, I was no closer to deciding on a direction for my life. Until I rediscovered art in a Drawing 1 class and couldn’t resist the urge to create.
I received my bachelors in Art with an emphasis in sculpture fall of 2020, and then proceeded to not make a single piece of art for 3 years… until now.
Better late than never.
